How the free trial works: 14 days of the whole product with no card and no plan, the reminders before it ends, and exactly what happens if no plan is chosen.

Every new company gets 14 days of FieldQuo free — the whole product, with no card and no plan to choose at signup. You choose a plan from inside the app whenever you are ready; nothing is charged until you do.
This article says what the trial is, what you see while it runs, when you are reminded, and what happens on the day it ends if no plan has been chosen.
Overview
The trial starts the moment your company is created and runs for 14 days. There is no subscription behind it yet and nothing to cancel: it is simply a date. A company that signed up on the earlier 30-day trial keeps the end date it was given.
It is free, not a token dollar. A referral from another FieldQuo company adds one more month to the trial — see Referral months.
How it works at signup
- Fill in Your account and business — name, email, company, address. The country in your address sets your billing currency.
- Choose your trades and services.
- Finish the last step. You land in FieldQuo with the trial running — no card, no plan.
No card is asked for at signup. You add one when you choose a plan, and the plan's first charge lands on the day the trial ends — choosing early does not cost you any free days.
What you see during the trial
A banner across the top of the app reads Free trial · 12 days left, with Choose a plan beside it and, when your team size points to one, a recommended plan. The same choice is on Account & Billing. Choosing a plan during the trial keeps the days you have left: the plan starts, and is first charged, on the day the trial would have ended. See Change your plan.
Once a plan is chosen, the banner names it and the date it starts, and says nothing is charged until then.
When the trial ends
- Seven days, three days and one day before the end, if no plan has been chosen, FieldQuo emails the owner a reminder with the end date and a Choose a plan button. Each is sent once.
- On the day, if no plan has been chosen, the account goes read-only for 7 days: everyone can still see every quote, invoice, client and photo, but nothing new can be created or sent. The banner reads Your trial ended · read-only for 7 more days.
- After those 7 days the account locks until a plan is chosen. Nothing is deleted at any point — choosing a plan brings everything back exactly as it was.
The trial is offered once per company. Cancelling a plan and choosing one again does not start a second free trial — see Cancel your subscription.

Yes. Choose the yearly plan during the trial and the year starts — and is charged — on the day the trial ends.
I was referred by another contractor — how long is my trial?
14 days plus one referral month, and the reminders move out with it. The confirmation after signup names the company that referred you.
Can I try it without a card?
Yes. Signup takes no card. You add one when you choose a plan, and it is not charged until the trial ends.
