FieldQuo AI: ask about your own business

An assistant that answers questions from your company's own quotes, invoices, clients and schedule, declines everything else, and runs inside a monthly allowance.

FieldQuo AI is the second row of the sidebar. You type a question — “which clients haven't been invoiced yet?” — and it looks the answer up in your company's records rather than guessing. It can also draft a client message with the real figures in it.

It answers only about your business. Asked for a recipe or an essay, it declines in one sentence and says what it can help with instead. It never sees another company's data, and it never sees more of yours than your access level allows.

Overview

Under the title the screen says: “Ask about your own quotes, invoices, clients and material costs. It looks up real numbers rather than guessing.” A new conversation shows Try asking with four questions you can tap, and a box that reads Ask about your business… with a Send button.

Every answer comes from a lookup against your own database — never from what the model remembers about contractors in general. If a lookup returns nothing, it says there is not enough data yet rather than filling the gap.

What it can look up

Ask aboutWhat it reads
ConversionQuote-to-acceptance rate over a recent period.
Top clientsWho paid the most, by paid invoices.
Cash flowMoney in against expenses over recent months.
Revenue by categoryAccepted-quote revenue per service category.
Repeat customersHow many clients came back.
Upcoming workThe jobs scheduled in the next N days, with visit notes and the linked quote's notes.
A quote or an invoiceFound by number or client name: notes, line items, whether photos are attached.
A jobEvery visit's notes and photo count, hours logged, the quote and invoices — and, with job costing, labour cost so far against the quoted total.
A draft messageA quote follow-up, a payment reminder, a job update, written ready to send, with the real invoice number and amount.

There is no lookup for material costs today, although the screen's subtitle names them. A question about material costs gets a plain “I can't look that up here”.

What it declines

  • General requests — coding, recipes, homework, world knowledge. One sentence, no lecture.
  • Anything it has no lookup for. It says so and names who can help; it does not estimate the answer from something else.
  • Any figure your access level hides. The lookups are filtered by your grid before the conversation starts, so a person without See prices is never told an invoice total — and is never told that one exists.

The monthly allowance

FieldQuo AI is included in every plan; there is nothing to buy. Each company has a monthly allowance shared by everything AI does for you — this assistant, the quote review, the website builder's copy, the AI employee's drafts. At 80% the screen shows a warning: “You've used {pct}% of this month's FieldQuo AI allowance.”

When it runs out the question box is disabled and the screen says This month's FieldQuo AI allowance is used up. It resets at the start of next month, and everything else in FieldQuo carries on as normal. Buying AI credit on Settings → AI credit does not raise it — that credit is for phone minutes and AI images; get in touch if you need a bigger allowance.

Who can use it

Everyone on the team has the row. What each person can ask follows their access level: a Crew login gets the schedule lookups only, so its Try asking prompts are “What work is coming up this week?” and “Which jobs am I assigned to?”. Cash flow needs the everyone's-expenses level; labour cost on a job needs job costing. It answers in the language you use the app in.

Why this is listed under Only in FieldQuo

Of the five pricing pages FieldQuo checks itself against — Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Projul and QuoteIQ — four list no assistant that answers from your own numbers at any tier. Housecall Pro lists “AI team members” on every plan, a phrase that also covers its call-answering AI. That is the whole claim: not listed on their pricing page, never “they cannot do it”.

Frequently asked questions

Does it see other companies' data?

Never. The company is fixed on the server before any lookup runs, and the model cannot change it however the question is phrased.

Can it change a quote or send an email?

No. Every lookup is read-only. It writes a draft message for you; sending it is your click.

Is it the same thing as the AI employee or the phone receptionist?

No. Those talk to your clients and are set up under Settings. FieldQuo AI talks to you about your own records. They share the same monthly allowance.

Will it invent a number?

It is instructed not to, and it has no way to: it has no figures except what the lookups return. If a number is not there, it says so.
