Every row of the Settings menu, what it does and what it changes.

49 articles

  1. The Settings menuWhere every company-level setting lives: the eight groups of the Settings menu, the Search box, and the reasons a row may be missing from yours.
  2. Company SettingsThe first screen after signup: your scope of work and payment terms, payment schedule, industry and quote types, company details, opening hours, booking availability, tax settings, the industry benchmark and your regional preferences.
  3. Opening hoursThe hours your business is open — shown on your website, sent to Google as structured data, and respected by the phone receptionist and the AI employee. Not the same thing as anyone's bookable hours.
  4. Tax settingsYour tax registration number as it prints on documents, the tax rates you create, the VAT question for European companies, and the switch that picks the client's local rate for you.
  5. Industry and quote typesThe trades you named at signup and the quote types they unlocked — what the card shows, where the quote types are actually changed, and what they decide elsewhere in FieldQuo.
  6. BrandingYour logo and the three brand colours — primary, secondary and neutral — that appear on every quote, invoice, PDF, email, booking page and website a client sees, with the contrast worked out for you.
  7. LanguageTwo settings that look alike and mean different things: the language you read FieldQuo in, and the company default that teammates and clients inherit when they have chosen none.
  8. Activity LogThe company's audit trail: who did what and when — quotes sent, payments recorded, hours approved, access changed — read-only, newest first, for the owner and administrators.
  9. TeamThe Manage Team row in Settings is the same screen as Your team in the main sidebar — the seat panel, the roster with each person's access level, Add User and the pending invitations.
  10. Your hoursTwo weeks per person on one screen: Working hours, the shift the schedule and timesheets use, and Bookable hours, the window clients can book on the public page — with a picker to set someone else's.
  11. My calendarSubscribe your own phone or computer calendar to your FieldQuo schedule — appointments, job visits and bookings — so it keeps itself up to date, with one private link you can regenerate.
  12. Time off policiesWhat kinds of time off exist in your company and how each builds up — fixed days, accrued per pay period, or vacation pay as a percentage — with country starter sets and a year-end carry-over you run yourself.
  13. Booking PageEverything behind the public booking calendar: the embed code, how clients can meet you, the drive-time check and buffer, the arrival window, the default visit length, the change-and-cancellation policy, and the event types with their fees.
  14. Work AreasName the zones or projects your company works in, say who is on each one, and know where those names show up: your public website and what your phone receptionist tells callers.
  15. Products & Services (the price book)The catalogue of items you drop onto a quote — name, sale price, cost, unit and the quote types it belongs to — with a CSV import.
  16. Services & PricingSwitch on the quote types you offer, set what each one charges by, customise the rate card and the wording a client reads for each trade, and add your own quote types.
  17. Material CostsYour real per-gallon prices, coverage rates, coat counts and consumables for the trades that price by recipe, and the threshold at which a finished job asks you to revise them.
  18. Cabinet pricingWhat the kitchen designer charges for cabinetry — per linear foot or material cost-plus, tier by tier, with material multipliers, finishing, delivery and tear-out.
  19. OverheadEverything the business costs to run in a month — fixed costs, salaries, debt, assets — and the minimum price a job must fetch to cover it.
  20. Custom FieldsWhere extra boxes for clients, properties, quotes, jobs, invoices and team members will be defined — marked Coming soon, because no record shows them yet.
  21. Quote EmailThe two optional sections of the email that carries your quotes — past-client references and before-and-after photo pairs — and the rule that stops an empty one going out.
  22. Email TemplatesBlock-built email templates grouped Automated, Marketing and Custom — what the editor offers, which sends actually use them today, and what the Active badge does and does not change.
  23. PDF TemplatesThe section order of the quote and invoice PDFs your clients receive — one layout in use per document, editable section by section, with a sample preview.
  24. TranslationsReview and correct the translated names and descriptions of your products and services, language by language, with AI drafts you read before they reach a client document.
  25. ChecklistsReusable lists of the steps your crew works through on site, grouped Before the work, On the job and Before you leave, copied onto a visit as a fresh tickable list.
  26. Job photo tagsYour own words for what is happening in a job photo — sanding, priming, top coat — and how they sit on top of the four fixed stages.
  27. Client messagesThe two texts your clients receive — On my way and the appointment reminder — with the fields you can use, the live preview, and how language is decided.
  28. Follow-upsRules that email a template a set time after an enquiry, quote, invoice or job reaches a state — the four triggers, the delay, and when a rule stops.
  29. Field work: offline mode, labour rate, performance payThree switches behind the crew's phone screens: whether the app keeps its field screens on the phone, the hourly rate a clocked-hours invoice line bills, and the performance-pay rule — which is off until you write one.
  30. NotificationsWhen FieldQuo emails the owners about a large quote or a paid invoice, how far ahead clients are texted a reminder, and browser notifications for you.
  31. Email DomainSend quotes, invoices and every other client email from your own domain instead of FieldQuo's shared address — the DNS records, the statuses, the sender address and where replies go.
  32. Work emailConnect the mailbox where you receive work email so every email with a client is filed into that client's history — Google, Microsoft 365, or any other host with an address and password.
  33. PaymentsConnect Stripe so clients pay online into your own bank account — the connection states, the fees card, instant payouts, bank debit, financing, the offline methods printed on invoices, and your Stripe account details.
  34. Meta AdsConnect your own Meta ad account so ad spend flows into your marketing numbers, plus the Facebook lead forms, Facebook & Instagram publishing and WhatsApp Business connections that live on the same screen.
  35. TikTokConnect your business's TikTok account so an approved Marketing Designer design can be posted to it as a photo, or sent to your TikTok inbox as a draft.
  36. Expense TrackingThe same Expense Tracking screen as Expenses in the main sidebar — the month's cards, the burn breakdown, the trend and recent receipts — reached from Settings.
  37. AI creditThe two prepaid balances that meter the phone receptionist, crew texting, AI image generation and the deep photo read — what each costs, how to top up, and the monthly AI credit plan.
  38. Payroll settingsWhen you pay — frequency, closing day, payday — and the deductions and allowances that turn gross pay into net: regional starting points, your own components, tax bands.
  39. Your websiteThe website builder — a brief in your words, a conversation to refine it, five layouts and a set of styles, Fine-tune for the address, languages and photos, and Publish.
  40. Instant QuotesThe rate card behind your instant-estimate link — switch a trade on, set the rates and surcharges, choose what the homeowner sees, and put the estimator on your own website.

  42. Bio linkThe Settings row that builds the one page Instagram and TikTok let you link to — your heading, a line under it, your social handles and the buttons that matter — with a live phone preview and a Save button.
  43. Phone receptionistThe Settings row that sets up the AI receptionist: credit, a number, what it says, the answering switch, callbacks, crew texting and the end-to-end check — what each card changes and who can open it.
  44. AI employeeThe Settings row where you hire an assistant that answers a customer's message — its job, how it writes, what it reads, draft or send — and why, today, every reply is a draft waiting for you.

  47. Product UpdatesThe Settings row that lists what changed in FieldQuo — a dated changelog with a summary per entry and, where one exists, a full write-up — with nothing to configure and visible to every member.
  48. Account & BillingThe Settings row that is the same page as Plan in the main sidebar: your plan, its price and next billing date, the billing portal, a shortcut to your Stripe earnings, Cancel plan, and the four plans to choose from.
  49. Refer & EarnThe Settings row that is the same page as Refer & Earn in the main sidebar: your referral link, WhatsApp and text sharing, an invite by email or text, the months you earned and the businesses you referred.
