Field work: offline mode, labour rate, performance pay
Three switches behind the crew's phone screens: whether the app keeps its field screens on the phone, the hourly rate a clocked-hours invoice line bills, and the performance-pay rule — which is off until you write one.

Settings → Team & scheduling → Field work holds the settings that decide what happens in a basement with no signal, what an hour of clocked labour is billed at, and whether a good day earns a bonus. Owners and administrators can change them; nobody else sees the page.
None of the three invents a number. With no hourly rate, the invoice editor offers the clocked hours with a link here instead of a price; with no performance-pay rule, no sheet and no pay run ever shows a bonus figure.
Offline mode
On by default. While it is on, the app keeps the invoice editor, job pages, the time clock, timesheets and daily sheets — and the last data each one loaded — on the phone, so they open without signal. An invoice or a punch made without signal waits in a queue on the phone and is sent when the signal returns; the amber bar at the top of the app says how many are waiting. See Working without signal.
Turn it Off only if a phone is showing stale screens you cannot explain. Off empties the phone's cache the next time the app opens; anything already queued still sends.
Hourly rate billed to clients
The price on the Labour — 6.5 h × $85 line the invoice editor offers when it is opened from a job with clock-ins. This is what you charge, not what you pay: a crew member's wage lives on their worker record and never appears on an invoice.
A service you price by the hour under Services & Pricing is offered as a second choice on the same line, so a company that bills plumbing at one rate and carpentry at another can pick the right one.
Performance pay
No rule is the default, and it means exactly that: the daily sheet says there is no rule and the pay run adds nothing. Write a rule when you have decided what a good day is worth — an amount per objective done, an amount when every objective is done, a share of the upsells the person sold, and, if you want one, the evaluation score below which nothing is paid.
- Fill in the amounts you want to pay. Leave the ones you do not want at zero.
- Press Save rule. From now on, when a coordinator evaluates a day, the sheet works out the bonus and shows the arithmetic.
- The bonus lands on the next pay run as a Performance bonus earning line, which you review before the run is saved.
A rule applies to days evaluated after it is saved. Changing it later does not re-price days already evaluated — what a person saw on their sheet is what they are paid.

Yes — the mobile app wraps this same web app, and the same offline layer runs inside it unchanged.
Can a crew member set their own rate or rule?
No. The page is owner and administrator only, and the invoice editor and the sheets only read what is set here.
